Lowering the deficit by $1T requires saving ~$3B/day average. Saving $1.8T (current deficit) requires ~$5B/day.
Current rate of improvement is ~$1B/day, but will improve rapidly.

I will say that Deep Learning has a legendary ravenous appetite for compute, like no other algorithm that has ever been developed
