The big mistake by the high-rung left was fighting the right with tunnel vision while the low-rung left rose up and hijacked their causes. The right is now in danger of the same mistake, focusing so singularly on wokeness that they miss the current surge on their lower flank.

Perhaps it is generational trauma. Especially with WW1, so many fathers were lost that there was greatly reduced protection for children, leaving them vulnerable to predators.
