You are sheltering non USB-C devices in your carry-on, are you not?
European Commission@EU_Commission· 28 déc. 2024It’s time for THE charger.
Today, the USB-C becomes officially the common standard for charging electronic devices in the EU.
It means better-charging technology, reduced e-waste, and less fuss to find the chargers you need.

Peter Yang@petergyang· 29 déc. 2024So @xai has raised $12B and has 71 open roles on their career website, except they're not hiring a single PM.
From what I see, they're shipping just fine.
As a PM, not sure how I feel about this 🙂

America is the least racist country, and if you’ve ever traveled you know that’s true
The Rabbit Hole@TheRabbitHole· 29 déc. 2024Is America supposed to be a racist country? If so, then it isn’t doing a great job given that the vast majority of Americans approve of interracial marriage.
If the country wasn’t tolerant then immigrants wouldn’t be lining up to come here. Let’s appreciate what we have 🇺🇸

I believe the timeline you mentioned here is possible, but my only long term concern about Starship are the heat tiles, they are far from being reusable.

I am confident that we will figure out a fully reusable (technically, a high multi-flight reusable) heat shield in 2025

The Martians will decide how they are ruled. I recommend direct, rather than representative, democracy.
Uncrewed Starships landing on Mars in ~2 years, perhaps with crewed versions passing near Mars, and crewed Starships heading there in ~4 years are all possible.
Kaizen D. Asiedu@thatsKAIZEN· 29 déc. 2024Once we colonize Mars, how should governance work?
Should it be an extension of Earth’s nations?
e.g. each Earth nation has part of Mars?
Something else?
There’s a Mars transfer window in Dec 2028/Jan 2029
SpaceX could send humans crewed to Mars then
Future is coming fast

First, black people were discriminated against, and became resentful.
Then, DEI and affirmative action were invented.
Thus, white people were discriminated against.
Now, white people are resentful too.
Discrimination does not work.
It just transfers resentment and creates
