Longshoremen pres. boasts about a strike hurting everyday Americans: “People never gave a shit about us until now, when they finally realize that the chain is being broke now. Cars won’t come in, food won’t come in, clothing won’t come in.”

I also stand with “price gougers”. Markets work.
Devon Eriksen@Devon_Eriksen_· 1 oct. 2024Everything Eric said, plus one thing more.
Let's say there is a run on something in a local high-demand area, and price shoots up.
$10 a gallon for gasoline. $8 for a bottle of clean water. Whatever.
This represents an opportunity.
Everyone who can get cheaper gas, or

Tim Sheehy just absolutely bodied Jon Tester in the MT Senate debate, and it's glorious:

We are making a system update to allow all Starlinks in the affected areas to work, regardless of payment.
Software update hopefully completed tonight. Tomorrow at the latest.
Shawn Hendrix@TheShawnHendrix· 1 oct. 2024Please share and tag! Hey @elonmusk can you make @Starlink free for the next 30 days in the disaster zone. It’s really slowing us down setting these up and I am putting them all on my personal card. Gift cards won’t seem to process.

It’s worth getting Starlink as an emergency backup, even if you have a crazy fast landline.
Never know when a crisis might happen and you could help all the people around you stay connected too.
Matt Lira@MattLira· 30 sept. 2024People are now getting @Starlink, even if they don’t need it for daily use—just as they have a Generac for backup power.

I’ve arrived at the conclusion that if Trump does not win, there will really be no way to fix the West.
It needs to go through the slow cleansing fire of being ruined by decades of communism before it emerges battered and bruised at the other end in 50 years or so in order to

Vivek Ramaswamy@VivekGRamaswamy· 1 oct. 2024Yes, we are a nation of laws. But we have *too many* laws, and most of them were never passed by Congress but were instead enacted as federal “rules” by unelected bureaucrats. Dismantling that bureaucracy shouldn’t be a partisan issue. In fact, it should be *the most unifying
