The world is likely to run directly on Sunlight in my lifetime.
Emissions should asymptote something near zero by the turn of the century; wood-burning fires will end up being the largest source of emissions.
Solar, Batteries, EVs and Capitalism FTW.

Competitors receive vastly more subsidies than SpaceX or Tesla.
The success of SpaceX/Tesla is in spite of competitor subsidies!
Look at how much was given away for a North American Supercharger network to compete against Tesla and it still failed.
Or the massive subsidies to Starlink competitors for American rural broadband and still they failed.
ALEX@ajtourville· 23 sept. 2024NEWS: 🇨🇦 The federal and provincial governments have enthusiastically reiterated their support for the Telesat Lightspeed satellite network project.

Raising venture capital is the easiest thing an entrepreneur will do. Everything else is harder.
Deva Hazarika@devahaz· 22 sept. 2024This attitude is a reflection of VCs who work within a very tight credentialed ecosystem heavy on pattern matching and herd behavior. Entrepreneurship is far from a safe path for most founders. And founders like that are all around for VCs willing to put in the work to find them.
