I came to the (obvious) conclusion that a radical improvement in rocket technology was needed to make life multiplanetary.
That required creating a company, as success was not in the set of possible outcomes for the existing rocket companies.

I don't think Tesla has anywhere near the volume of rider-only autonomous miles that Waymo has (96M for Waymo, as of today). The safety data is quite compelling for Waymo, as well.

Which is the greater crutch, the remote operator or the safety monitor?
Rodney Brooks claims Waymos aren't self-driving if there's an operator on standby.
Jeff Dean claims Robotaxis aren't self-driving if there's a passenger on standby.
These are both specious arguments.
