I get asked often what are those “pulses” or the “heartbeat” of the upper stage of the Falcon 9... I believe those pulses in the thermal foil on the are some kind of purge or maybe little puffs of RCS too... @elonmusk can you confirm what exactly causes those pulses? 🤔

Since there’s only one main engine, which gives pitch and yaw control, roll control is provided by the nitrogen attitude control thrusters
