But I’m unfairly singling out the BBC here. All global taxpayer funded state media organisations should have this warning - there is no such pretence they are independent or unbiased simply because they are in western countries- the last three years proved that - ABC, CBC etc.

But that’s actually the point I was making: state influence/affiliation with media is far more common than most people realize – just look at how much Twitter/FB/Google have been influenced!
