Elon Musk just predicted that we could have a self-sufficient human presence on Mars in the 2040’s.
If you are not excited about the future or about the progress of technology, you should be.
We will see things in our lifetimes that our parents and grandparents would have

If we become multiplanetary and then multistellar our civilization will last millions of years.
If not, maybe just a few hundred years.
