I found this hard to believe, but it's really true. The movement against plastic straws began with a mistaken statistic in a 9 year old boy's school project that went viral. How can plastic straws still be banned anywhere?

Using plastic straws makes almost no difference to the environment, the reason that they got banned is in 2010, a 9-year old claimed that 500 million of them are used a DAY in a school project (totally wrong) and it went super viral
