Our “knowledge” of Norse mythology mostly comes from Snorri, a Christian who lived a few centuries after the Nordic region converted to Christianity. Should be taken with a grain of salt.

To be clear, I’m a fan of Snorri and, frankly, anyone who wrote shit down, even if some of it is wrong.
A lot of what Herodotus wrote was wrong, eg “100k slaves built the pyramids”, when in fact it was closer to 20k off-season agricultural workers helping build the religious equivalent of a cathedral, but I still love the guy.
