Sometimes I underestimate how entirely ignorant the general public are about space. This is @nfergus dismissing space colonisation entirely because Starship can’t reach Proxima Centauri (!) and because a Phillip K Dick story precludes colonising Mars (!!)

By that logic, no one should ever have gone to Britain from Europe in ancient times, given that it is not a proper continent and no one yet knew how to cross the Atlantic to reach China!
