Not the same with EAP and FSD packages though. You guys never delivered most of those features and told people that the price would go up if they didn't buy before delivery. I'm sure you can see the difference...

In retrospect, lower price shouldn’t have been offered. Was done so because some simply couldn’t afford it. Prices revert to normal on Monday.

We are still closing stores, just not as many as before. This basically splits the difference — about half as many stores closed, but then can afford only about half the price reduction. Was discussed with exec team & board.

Elon, in the future, please go over your ideas with the board or your team of execs first to save your customers a lot of unneeded frustration. If you did, I'm sure someone would have pointed out the flaws of closing all the stores and dropping the prices drastically at once.

This still means people who paid for EAP up front and upgrade now still pay $2k more than people who bought nothing and get full AP on this sale... great for them, but very frustrating for people with EAP already!! @elonmusk @tesla you can do better...

When prices go down, those who already bought want the lower price, but, if prices go up, those who already bought don’t want to write Tesla a check. So it goes.

To be clear then: pricing for FSD will go back up to what it was before the recent decreases? (in my case, early EAP buyer, FSD would go to $4k as opposed to the recent drop to $2k) Is my understanding correct?

Yes! We just want to be treated equal and owners are taking notice and feel betrayed or worse, hoodwinked. I was told to buy EAP for $5k because if I didn’t it would go up to $7k! Welp, not so much. 😢

One of the arguments for the Sierra Nevada Dreamchaser is the ability to rapidly recover returned experiments for processing on the ground. If propulsive landing could work a dragon 2 would offer the same thing.

For cargo missions, propulsive land landing should be no problem. Doesn’t have same safety criticality as crew.
