How's the testing and research with @NASA going for cryogenic orbital refueling? Think there's going to be any big scary hurdles or think it'll be *fairly* straight forward?

SpaceX has a lot of experience berthing & now docking with @Space_Station, which is very difficult. Orbital refilling should in theory be easier, since Starships dock with themselves & will be uncrewed at first.

We are spending all our effort to limit the heat flux/ loads the stage experiences during descent. If our techniques are successfully rework is very minimal. In this case N=2 Payload hit is currently sitting at 10% with the current design.

Well at this current rate of progress (and still accelerating), I think it’s safe to say we’re on our way to seeing humans on Mars this decade. Seeing Starship come together like this makes it that much more of a reality!

Another reason reported mortality rate is overstated is that dying *with* covid is not same as dying *from* covid. Media keeps reporting former, not latter.

You’d think they’d at least be Wikipedia-level informed about ventilators! It clearly articulates the difference between invasive & non-invasive. It’s very misleading to the public to claim that only the invasive type are “real ventilators”.

Moreover, there is mounting evidence that invasive is suboptimal for covid. If they put Boris Johnson on mask ventilator, but *not* invasive, that tells you something! This article incorrectly conflates invasive as “ventilator”, but makes many good points

Raptor is going through many development tests. Merlin is doing acceptance tests, as the design is stable. Depending on how you count them, there are about 6 engine stands operating in parallel.

No, as the header tanks are quite small relative to main (~30 tons vs 1200 tons). Only uses very tip of the nose.

No, oxygen header tank in nose is important to keep center of mass forward during atmospheric entry
