The use efficiency (single tap vs scroll up plus tap) exceeds the esthetic penalty. However, I think we should make each button separate, like the post (+) button, rather than have a translucent bar.

Not that it’s much consolation, but the energy efficiency of LLMs using auto-regressive transformers is extremely bad, not just in training, but also inference.
I think it’s off by several orders of magnitude.
