One of the things that surprised me most was how many people simply read this platform and never post or like. They may DM, bookmark or forward a post, but are reticent to do anything public. The ratio is shockingly high, as you point out. I hope more people participate.

Yes, the obvious move is to strengthen the mute function by making anything posted by the muted account invisible to you. Right now, both mute and block are partly broken. It should also be made easy to continue to follow an account, while blocking their ability to DM you.

Been taking some heat. The message is that I'm overconfident and insensitive. Guilty of overconfident, and I'm actually ok with that. The insensitive part, is related to the fact that it is very difficult to weaponize my empathy. I am more than OK with that, I am proud.

Elon Musk really seems to be doubling down on removing the X blocking feature from this platform. In a reply to James Woods, who criticized Musk for saying he’s removing the feature, Musk simply told him to “delete your account.” Musk also is apparently blocking people himself.

Mute needs to mute properly, including all mentions. Block will only apply to DMs. @Jack gets it. Surprisingly few others do.
