When I first started reading “Animal Farm”, after finding it in the elementary school library when I was about 8 years old, I thought it would be a nice story about talking animals.
But the narrative didn’t quite go like other stories about talking animals I had read 😳
I didn’t realize it was an allegory about the Russian communist revolution. The book made a lot more sense reading it again several years later 😂
