No, but that was an epic piece at a time when the word was being overrun by demented versions of an otherwise delightful jam container. It was like World War Z, but mason jars

The mechanical attachment mechanism. We need to make sure they won’t fall off due to vibration & acoustics.

The hex tiles are actually mechanically attached, which is important to allow for very high temp on back side of tile that would destroy any adhesive. Marshmellow-looking thing is a rope seal.

Wait what? First off, too small to calculate?! 😂 No, the Falcon 9 is 97.29% successful (72/74) & 1 in 19 failures until the the Falcon 9?! Not true about the Delta IV, Atlas V, even the Space Shuttle, or the Soyuz or really, any modern rocket. What are you talking about 1 in 19?

@elonmusk · Sep 9, 2019
Failure rate is actually both higher & lower than that, as the Falcon 9 design has changed almost completely several times. Currently flying version has no failures (may fate continue to be merciful), but older versions therefore have a higher failure rate.

Basically, the pressure wave won't likely kill you (if you're inside a pressure vessel), but having the ability to not just fall from 100m up onto a flaming pile of former rocket is a good thing. Summary: it'd be SUPER EPIC (and safe) to see a Starship fly out of a fireball.
