I think most Americans are fine with some high skilled immigration, if it is truly top notch people in the top 1% of their skill set. What we don’t want is replacement type immigration just so companies can get workers at 1/2 off discount wages.

Of course. Btw, the $60k H1B minimum was set many years ago. If brought to present day, it would be more like a $120k minimum. Directionally correct.
