Elon Musk was asked why he built SpaceX and Tesla
His answer reveals the deeper purpose behind everything he built:
“SpaceX and Tesla are fundamentally intended to improve the probability that the future is good”
Tesla → “accelerating sustainable energy”
SpaceX → “making life multi-planetary and providing global internet through Starlink”
And this is the part that says it all:
“These are fundamental goods. The good of those companies will far exceed anything that I do from a charitable standpoint”
