10MB blocks every 6 seconds, with fees so low that anyone can spam attack the network with very little spent on fees?
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 16 мая 2021 г.
For those bad at math 👆, 100X higher transaction volume with 100X lower fees means total fees earned stay same. Low fees & high volume are needed to become currency of Earth.

Elon, how would you solve the major concentration problem of Dogecoin?
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 16 мая 2021 г.
My understanding is that the big accounts are exchanges. Would be good to confirm though. Am told the biggest one is Robinhood.

Why not just make a crypto from scratch that does everything you want technically and has a lot of dev support and doesn’t have high concentration of ownership at least initially?
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 16 мая 2021 г.
Only if Doge can’t do it. Big pain in the neck to create another one.

A Chinese spacecraft streaked down through the Martian sky on Saturday, becoming the country's first probe to land on a planet other than Earth.
It is the first time in the world that orbiting and landing on Mars is completed in one launch mission xhtxs.cn/eYi

Elon is choosing $DOGE because Dogecoin is better than #Bitcoin in many fundamental ways
#Dogecoin has faster transaction speeds, lower fees, and less environmental impact than #BTC
#DOGE is affordable for regular folks because of its high supply

Ideally, Doge speeds up block time 10X, increases block size 10X & drops fee 100X. Then it wins hands down.

Q. Do you think it's important to do end-to-end integrated avionics and software testing?

And of course the landing is targetted and controlled, but there will be no landing barge, I'm, not sure if that means they'll tow it back or sink it. Given that it's gone through reentry there's lots of value in looking at it.
(assuming it doesn't break up)
Elon Musk

We need to make sure ship won’t break up on reentry, hence deorbit over Pacific

SpaceX will install ground stations within Google’s data centers for its #Starlink broadband satellites under a new cloud partnership. They expect to provide new capabilities for @googlecloud customers in the second half of 2021: bit.ly/3w4KyGc

Locating ground stations at data centers will significantly improve latency & jitter. Data can go from user terminal to server without touching the Internet.

The estimated electricity consumption per cbeci.org YTD increased 40% during the same period that the network grew 100% in assets, meaning that energy efficiency dramatically improved during this time period. #Bitcoin is becoming less energy intensive as it scales.
