That’s the amazing thing people don’t think about — passive Autopilot.
Even when you’re driving manually, Autopilot is looking out for you. If it knows how to stay in the lane itself, it can detect when you’re drifting out on manual driving.
So exciting.

Passive Autopilot (sometimes called active safety) comes standard on all Teslas

A Tesla with NO Autopilot is twice as safe as the average car in the US
A Tesla with Autopilot on is twice as safe as a Tesla being driven manually.
Tesla with Autopilot on can drive almost 10 times further without a crash than the average US car. @elonmusk

Essentially, passive Autopilot (car intervenes only when crash probability is high) cuts crashes in half.
Active Autopilot (car is driving itself) cuts crashes in half again.
Doesn’t mean there are no crashes, but, on balance, Autopilot is unequivocally safer.

Jokes aside, this is quite a thoughtful overview of the recent demo from Paul Nuyujukian. Full length video here: youtu.be/rzNOuJIzk2E

Great review! Neuralink is open to working with neuroscientists to advance the field.
Short-term goal is addressing brain & spine problems.
Ultimate goal is symbiosis of human & machine intelligence.

Will users always be locked into one location or in the future if a user has the standard Dishy McFlatface (not a new portable one), could you say put it on an RV or tiny home? Or maybe take one you have in Iowa and put it in a studio in Texas 🤔
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 15 апр. 2021 г.
Yeah, should be fully mobile later this year, so you can move it anywhere or use it on an RV or truck in motion. We need a few more satellite launches to achieve compete coverage & some key software upgrades.

I surveyed over 50 users of SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet over the past few months, to get their impressions of the service so far.
Here's what they said about pricing, installation, speed, reliability and more: cnbc.com/2021/04/15/spa…

This is accurate. Service uptime, bandwidth & latency are improving rapidly. Probably out of beta this summer.
