With some improvements, it will achieve 300 Mps

It's semantics. The school in question is Pretoria Boys High School, which is a prestigious, semi-private, tuition-charging school.
I think it's pretty difficult to argue that the average South African under Apartheid was able to attend a school like this.
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 21 сент. 2022 г.
Incorrect. There was tuition for students from outside the school district, which was a small part of the student body, incl black students, but not for students in district, which I was.
Also, I was there for 2.5 years, previously attending govt schools for 9 of 12 years.

The thing is, there would be a good conversation to have here about the nature of privilege. Did Elon have privileges that, say, the average black South African living in a township didn't? *Absolutely*. And going to private school (despite him being veritably tortured there)...

I went to government schools, not private, except for part of one year in third grade

Not to get ahead of ourselves, but do you have an estimate for the first booster at 39A?
Pending Roberts Road, or can you ship vehicles from Starbase (which some people say isn't possible).
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 21 сент. 2022 г.
Probably Q2 next year, with vehicles initially transferred by boat from Port of Brownsville to the Cape

So booster 7 will be first to fly? (hopefully)
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 21 сент. 2022 г.
That’s the plan. We’re taking a little risk there, as engine isolation was done as retrofit, so not as good as on Booster 9.

Late next month maybe, but November seems highly likely. We will have two boosters & ships ready for orbital flight by then, with full stack production at roughly one every two months.

Booster 7 completed its latest round of testing and Booster 8 was rolled to the Launch Site. Meanwhile, the B7.1 test tank was rolled back to the Production Site.

Our focus is on reliability upgrades for flight on Booster 7 and completing Booster 9, which has many design changes, especially for full engine RUD isolation.

Is it by writing letters to the City asking them to designate a house as a landmark? Oh no wait, that’s what you do when you want to STOP a piece of property from being turned into affordable housing in YOUR neighborhood.

While Mark Zuckerberg was in high school, his dad offered him 1 of 2 options:
◻️Tuition for a Harvard degree
◻️Funds for a McDonald’s franchise
He did neither and dropped out of Harvard to run Facebook. This year, his net worth has fallen $71B.

Elon Musk came from a family that owned an emerald mine in Apartheid South Africa.
Bill Gates’ mom helped Microsoft get a deal with IBM.
Jeff Bezos’ garage-based start was funded by a quarter-million dollar investment from his parents.
“Self-made billionaires” are a myth.
