Will people buy EVs with gas prices low?
1 People don't typically do total cost of ownership calcs
2 If they did, more people would be buying EVs
3 Gas prices are low, but a big part of tco is residual value. The coming collapse in used gas car value will far offset gas savings.

Yup lowers fatality rate to 0.5%, in NY, the hardest hit, and I bet will go lower as time goes. Reports all over the world of seroprevalence studies are showing numbers around this and LOWER by the day. As I’m sure you’ve seen the recent LA county study.

Yes, same results are showing up pretty much everywhere on Earth. Contagion is higher in high pop density cities & mortality proportionate to age.

Silver lining is that mortality rate is much lower than predicted & herd immunity much higher. Good news.
Archive: Governor Andrew Cuomo@NYGovCuomo· 23 апр. 2020 г.NEW: The first phase of results from a statewide antibody study are in.
We collected approximately 3,000 antibody samples from 40 locations in 19 counties.
Preliminary estimates show a 13.9% infection rate.

In the mission to accelerate this planet away from fossil fuels, how interested is Tesla in creating HVAC products for homes using geothermal energy? Hopefully inspired from heat pump in Model Y
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 23 апр. 2020 г.
I’m dying to do super efficient, quiet home HVAC with HEPA & water distillation. It’s weird, but I really want to do it.

Can we get the side cameras to show up on the turn signal is activated
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 23 апр. 2020 г.
Side camera view looks a little weird, as meant for self-driving, but will review with team. Image will need a little post-processing.

That is more reasonable, especially if mostly loans. Oil & gas is an important industry without which civilization could not function at this time, but financial support should be proportionate to rest of economy.
