America needs to be a destination for the world’s most elite talent. But the H-1B program isn’t the way to do that.
I’m going to stop posting for now, but let me know if there are any other visualizations that would be helpful.
If you made it this far, thanks for reading!

Easily fixed by raising the minimum salary significantly and adding a yearly cost for maintaining the H1B, making it materially more expensive to hire from overseas than domestically.
I’ve been very clear that the program is broken and needs major reform.

Imagine you’re a right wing populist and were always insecure that the vast majority of smart people don’t agree with you.
Then the greatest entrepreneur of our time enters the political arena. He’s smarter than any liberal who looks down on you, and you finally have hope. The

?? I don’t support an open immigration policy at all. I support a highly selective immigration policy.
Immigration should be limited to those who will obviously contribute far more than they take.

Red Rising might be the best series I’ve read
Plausible depiction of what a multi-planetary humanity might look like too
Anyone have sci-fi/fantasy recommendations of that caliber?
I also like Codex Alera, Mistborn, Stormlight, ASOIAF
Prefer to avoid long drawn out series

Agree with this wholeheartedly. The greatness of America has been built on innovation spurred by amazing immigrants who changed the world!
Elon Musk@elonmusk· 28 дек. 2024 г.America rose to greatness over the past 150 years, because it was a meritocracy more than anywhere else on Earth.
I will fight to my last drop of blood to ensure that it remains that land of freedom and opportunity.

what can we do to help our children to get ahead?
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 28 дек. 2024 г.
The specific area I’m talking about is engineering, which is needed to build the best technology.
Encouraging kids to learn how things work is the key.
Take apart car engines, toasters, microwave ovens, speakers, etc. Make model airplanes, rockets, cars. As you’re doing this and pushing the envelope, you naturally learn physics and engineering along the way.

“I’ve always liked the visas, I have always been in favor of the visas. That’s why we have them.
I have many H-1B visas on my properties. I’ve been a believer in H-1B. I have used it many times. It’s a great program.”
