Incarceration for contempt of court, even when valid, should not be for such an egregious length of time.
When compared to the many crimes that receive little to no prison time, this cannot be considered fair or just.

I thought something was broken in me.
I thought I didn’t deserve to live.
Now I know those of us who survived and died from this weren’t broken
