Dave Portnoy slams both The New York Times and The Washington Post, characterizing them as activists not interested in the truth or balanced reporting.
Portnoy's criticism comes in the wake of a viral video in which he exposed a Washington Post reporter's attempt to tarnish his

In order to keep you here, Twitter gives less exposure to tweets with links. If you don't want to be manipulated in this way, make a point of posting links and liking and retweeting tweets that contain them.

The algorithm is trying to maximize unregretted user time on X, which is a good goal. If a link is very compelling and sent by many, you will see the link.
And of course links always show up in the Following tab.

Why @elonmusk named it Zip2 and not Zip 42 😁
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 22 сент. 2023 г.
The name was suggested by an advertising agency, but my fault for accepting it.
It is very confusing, as the URL could be zip2, ziptwo, zipto or ziptoo.

Better idea: park cars around town with valuables in plain site and hidden cameras / cops nearby.
Arrest criminals who break in, give them multi-year jail sentences, and shame them publicly. Do this to 50 criminals and see how quickly the break-ins start to drop!

The Boring Company will IPO by 2028 and reach a $1 Trillion market cap by 2030.
It will have over 10,000 miles of tunnel by 2030, solving traffic problems in many cities and generating insane revenue. Its growth rate will still be rising.
By 2035 Boring will have over 100,000

This is actually possible from a technology standpoint.
By far the biggest impediment is getting permits. Construction is becoming practically illegal in North America and Europe!
And the measly incremental subway (or surface train) construction that has been done in recent years cost over $1B per mile!

Many people can't tell the difference between defending a principle which applies to a person they dislike and defending that person.
I genuinely wonder if they are doing it on purpose or they're somehow incapable of understanding the difference.
It's not THAT hard, surely?

Most people (maybe all?) are instinctively moral relativists.
If you’re perceived as being in the group, you can do no wrong, whereas those outside the group can do no right.
This instinct can be overridden, but requires a strong commitment to truth over convenience.
