It's time to reset the tax code – Make it simple enough so that it takes average Americans less than one hour to fill and file their own taxes.

The American people want peace, not endless war!
Bernie Moreno@berniemoreno· 19 нояб. 2024 г.Americans overwhelmingly voted for Trump, sent a loud and clear message: we want Ukraine war to end, for killing to stop, and for peace. Trump will do that.
Biden dramatically escalated the war and set up Trump to inherit a greater conflict.
Disgraceful and extremely dangerous.

Crazy idea: let’s simplify the tax code 🤷♂️
Peter St Onge, Ph.D.@profstonge· 19 нояб. 2024 г.Americans spend $546 billion trying to figure out their taxes.
Because the tax code is 10 million words of incomprehensible legalese. 21 times longer than the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
And if you disobey one word they'll put you in a cage.

Will Starship V3 be the same size, but more powerful? Or will it be even more massive?
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 19 нояб. 2024 г.
Same diameter of 9m (~30 ft), but longer and at least 2 versions.
The propellant tanker version will be especially heavy, as the payload volume in the forward section will mostly contain propellant.
Thrust goal will be ~10k tons (3X Saturn V) and liftoff mass of tanker version ~7k tons. This should be capable of ~200 tons of orbital refilling.
Note, 3% of liftoff mass as useful cargo would be insanely good for a fully reusable orbital rocket. Most expendable rockets aren’t that good.

Current Starship is more than twice as powerful as the Saturn V Moon rocket.
Starship V3, which hopefully flies in about a year, will be 3X more powerful.
DogeDesigner@cb_doge· 19 нояб. 2024 г.Most people have no idea how large Starship is. It's the world's most powerful rocket ever made.

The objectives for Starship Flight 6 are:
1. Restart of Raptor engines in vacuum.
2. Daylight landing of the ship.
3. Higher peak heating (steeper) reentry.
4. Faster/harder booster catch.
There are thousands of small design changes also being tested.

The fixed pie fallacy as at the heart of many bad government decisions
MUSKOSOPHY@muskosophy· 19 нояб. 2024 г.Elon Musk on value creation:
“If you have a zero-sum mindset, the only way to get ahead is by taking things from others.
If the pie is fixed, the only way to have more pie is to take someone else's pie.
But this is false. The economic pie has grown dramatically over time.”
