The “contemptible fools” I’m referring to are those in the Republican Party who are hateful, unrepentant racists.
They will absolutely be the downfall of the Republican Party if they are not removed.

There's been a lot (like, a lot) of discussion about plastic contamination in food over the past few years, but scant hard data about actual real-world prevalence. So Nat decided to go and meticulously measure it.
Nat Friedman@natfriedman· 27 дек. 2024 г.We did it! We tested 300 Bay Area foods for plastic chemicals. We found some interesting surprises.
Top 5 findings in our test results:
1. Our tests found plastic chemicals in 86% of all foods, with phthalates in 73% of the tested products and bisphenols in 22%. It's

A lot of these problems are directly traceable to the university system, and weed out / bullshit classes.
If we need more accountants, smart people should be able to “test out” of attending college. Same with programming.
Too much power concentrated in credential mills.

Requiring a score above the 50th percentile in the Graduate Record Exam would be a good way to weed out those who went to credential mills

A good thought experiment to test your company’s recruiting pipeline is to see if you could hire a Nikola Tesla in his early 20s, a brilliant college dropout, working as a draftsman in his hometown in a modern-day Croatia. Most will ignore his job application.

The tech right are calling MAGA racist because people found H-1B applications for entry level accounting positions and a bunch of low paid jobs like 7-11 cashier.

The H1-B program should be reserved for people who would address an important shortfall of domestic expertise.
There is some degree of fraud and considerable incompetence in every government program and H1-B is no exception.
That fraud and incompetence need to be fixed throughout the government.
