Do you still believe we should have fewer people doing finance, law & MBA and more people making stuff?

“I think there might be too many M.B.A.s running companies,” says Elon Musk. “There should be more focus on the product or service itself, less time on board meetings, less time on financials.” on.wsj.com/34Yw67R

Focus on making products & services people truly love, so that the total economic pie is bigger, instead of engaging in zero-sum/negative-sum corporate power struggles. This is the good future.

Roughly 95% of parts in Tesla Roadster were unique — not in any other product. Unfortunately, since we started out with the (dumb, in retrospect) goal of simply adapting Lotus Elise to electric, we ended up with a 10% too small sports car that seems kinda like a Lotus.

Term of the day: Planck constant
Definition: The Planck constant is the quantum of electromagnetic action that relates a photon's energy to its frequency. The Planck constant multiplied by a photon's frequency is equal to a photon's energy.

Can we get the boom box installed for models prior to the ones that have them now

You mean install the external speaker on earlier cars that don’t have it?

According to my calculations and the data of all the known masses, since some are unknown, more than 416,467 Kg were launched, of which 238,617 Kg were launched by SpaceX, that is, more than 57.2% of all the total mass sent.

SpaceX carried out a record-breaking 26 launches this year, but how many boosters did it take to get it done?
The answer is 11. And here they are!
Falcon 9 is quite the workhorse, but do you know which booster saw the most action in 2020?
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 27 дек. 2020 г.
Falcon was 25% of successful orbital launches in 2020, but maybe a majority of payload to orbit. Anyone done the math?

Retweeting this one more time because it is so excellent, describes nicely how the mRNA vaccines are a direct hacking of Life's assembly code for the Spike protein + all of its headers, metadata, + tweaking it to be more stable and likely to evade the immune system defenses 👌👌

Vaccines are just the start. It’s also capable in theory of curing almost anything. Turns medicine into a software & simulation problem.

Or even a way to over rule the autopilot speed limit. Since we are still the operators, we should be able to tell the car “hey go 50 here”. It still gets some road speeds wrong for a long and frustrating stretch of road.
