It had to be explained in terms most would understand.
The point was not actually to create a traditional bank or “send payments”, but rather to fix the information problem that people call money.

These people have no idea why re-branding was important.
Twitter name made sense when it was just 140 character msgs going back & forth – like birds tweeting.
But now you can post almost anything. Articles, several hours of video, audio etc with payments, calling, streaming com

Does anyone work anymore?
Went on a walk Monday at 11:00 am and there were young people everywhere.
Working age people.
Between all these 'creator' types, remote work, quiet quitting, etc...
I honestly wonder how many people even work anymore.
Is your city like that?

The problems that @ggreenwald identifies with @wikipedia extend to its ridiculous defamation of scientists skeptical of lockdowns. Take a look at the shameful pages of two excellent scientists, @VPrasadMDMPH and John Ioannidis. Wikipedia editors politicize science.
System Update@systemupdate_· 1 авг. 2023 г..@Wikipedia is a dominant force in the information ecosystem—largely due to how aggressively it's pushed by Google's search engine.
And controlled by a small number of contributors w/ an appalling pro-establishment bias, it has effectively been forged into a weapon of elites.
