I'm calling the Myth of Context Length:
Don't get too excited by claims of 1M or even 1B context tokens. You know what, LSTMs already achieve infinite context length 25 yrs ago!
What truly matters is how well the model actually uses the context. It's easy to make seemingly wild

THE AMMO SHORTAGE
@MarcBodnick asks a good question: “Can’t we make more ammunition? Is this really a crisis?”
According to the AP, it will take the U.S. 5 years to ramp production of 155mm artillery ammo to 85k shells per month. This is up from 14k shells/month pre-war and 20k

@elonmusk · 10 июл. 2023 г.
If the artillery ammo differential is really this significant, then there should be some concern about Russia making territorial gains

Imagine the Earth were one meter in diameter.
Everything toweringly high up in our world—airplane cruising altitude, the top of Mount Everest, almost all clouds—is less than a millimeter off the surface.
Everything that's incredibly deep down—the bottom of the deepest ocean

And deliver over 200 tons of payload to a useful orbit with full & rapid reusability.
50 rockets flying every 3 days on average enables over a megaton of payload to orbit per year – enough to build a self-sustaining city on Mars.

In the landscape of social networks, each platform offers a unique experience, yet not all manage to serve our interests best. Instagram, with its endless stream of carefully curated highlight reels, often leaves us with a sense of lacking, stirring up a desire for lives we don’t
