Last week I was called into a meeting with OpenAI’s head of safety and told they no longer trust me. A security guard took my badge and walked me out of the building. Then I learned my colleagues @balesni and @j_asminewang had been fired too. Why did OpenAI suddenly stop trusting

I believe we were fired for prioritizing safety over the near-term interests of OpenAI as a corporation.

I asked Grok @Bot to turn President Trump awarding Elon Musk the National Medal of Science into a vertical short with captions.
One sentence. No editing software. No work.
It found every SpaceX, Tesla, Neuralink, and SpaceXAI mention, picked the best moments, reframed for vertical, and burned in the captions.
Type what you want. Get a finished video in minutes.
Now anyone can edit like a pro.

LOL. Grok Bot is legit a jaw through the floor AI moment all over again after yesterday’s changes. Reminds me of my first time trying FSD V12.5 or something.
This was a totally half-assed effort that I thought for sure would not work at all and would come out terribly. I just recorded 60 secs of me pretending to download grok bot on my phone, then opened the app, started a new bot, typed it up and then jumped onto the connectors page. I told Grok Bot to watch it and use the footage to make a “how-to” video.
This was just a total test. Minimal effort, just for kicks. Wanted to see what would happen.
Is the output perfect? No. But it’s largely imperfect because I put no effort into making it good. I am completely mindblown by its ability to edit together a video that makes sense, automatically censored stuff for me, narrated correctly, and marked up critical icons perfectly. My prompt was minimal and effort was near zero.
Unbelievable what you can make with even just small effort.
Unreal dude.

SpaceX just officially announced two massive milestones for Starlink Mobile
Starlink is on its way to becoming a major mobile carrier in the US
SpaceX is acquiring nationwide 800 MHz spectrum
SpaceX agreed to acquire a nationwide low-band spectrum license portfolio of up to 14 MHz of paired spectrum in the 800 MHz band
this fills one of the key remaining technical gaps before Starlink Mobile can become a major US carrier
Why low-band spectrum matters
Lower frequencies travel farther and pass through obstacles much better
• Starlink Mobile's global 2 GHz mid-band spectrum delivers the high-bandwidth capacity
• The new 800 MHz low-band spectrum adds a coverage layer that gets through walls and reaches phones inside buildings
• Most phones people already own support this band
One network, satellites plus towers
Once the FCC gives final approval, Starlink Mobile will combine its satellite-to-mobile constellation in space with an advanced ground network, so devices connect seamlessly everywhere
That makes Starlink Mobile the first network operator to deploy both satellite and terrestrial spectrum
One network that works indoors, outdoors, in cellular dead zones, and everywhere in between
The FCC also approved 15,000 next-gen satellites
This week the FCC also approved Starlink Mobile's Gen2 constellation, authorizing SpaceX to launch 15,000 satellites optimized for 2 GHz spectrum worldwide
• The V2 Starlink Mobile satellites will deliver more than 100x the bandwidth of the current generation
• High-speed service goes directly to regular, unmodified phones anywhere in the world
• The FCC also authorized the full range of backhaul bands (Ka/V/E/W) for Starlink's V3 broadband satellites, so they can work with Starlink's existing gateway network
From dense cities to the most remote rural towns, Starlink Mobile is building a network that keeps Americans connected no matter where they are
The future of mobile is Starlink now

Why SpaceX acquiring 800 MHz spectrum is a BIG deal for Starlink Mobile
Lower frequencies travel farther and penetrate walls and buildings much better than higher frequencies
That means stronger indoor coverage, which is a huge part of building a reliable nationwide mobile network
Starlink's 2 GHz spectrum provides the high-capacity satellite connectivity, while the new 800 MHz spectrum adds a powerful terrestrial coverage layer that can reach deeper inside buildings and cover larger areas
And the best part is that most modern US smartphones already support the 800 MHz band, so people won't need special hardware
