nasa is probably the biggest CUSTOMER along with the NRO. Probably followed by Iridium depends if you split Commercial resupply missions and NASA exploration missions apart.
Yes US rocket technology must be done inside US. For national security reasons.

This chart only shows globally competed commercial launches, not US government missions. “Other US” refers to Boeing & Lockheed. Their skill at obtaining govt contracts & subsidies vastly exceeds ours.

Dunno where this bs is coming from. Who knows about the future, but last week we had over 2000 S/X and 5000 Model 3 *new* net orders.

He mentions the tires. Michelins are grippy but he says he wants more. Could wider tires help rather than the 235 square setup on P3D?
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 20 июл. 2018 г.
Definitely. We gave up some grip & width in exchange for range. Would recommend stickier tires & wider on rear for best performance. You might get 3.3 sec 0-60 mph or better with optimized rims & tires.

As this well-written article suggests, my words were spoken in anger after Mr. Unsworth said several untruths & suggested I engage in a sexual act with the mini-sub, which had been built as an act of kindness & according to specifications from the dive team leader.
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 18 июл. 2018 г.
Nonetheless, his actions against me do not justify my actions against him, and for that I apologize to Mr. Unsworth and to the companies I represent as leader. The fault is mine and mine alone.

Yes, about 0.5% of what I donated to @SierraClub, which is a reasonable amount to maintain an open dialogue

Reports that I am a top donor to GOP are categorically false. I am not a top donor to any political party.

Thank you for fighting climate change. This affects every living creature on Earth.
Sierra Club@SierraClub· 15 июл. 2018 г.There have got to be better topics of debate than whether @elonmusk is committed to climate action. He has dedicated his career to the mission of replacing fossil fuels with clean energy & has strongly backed the Sierra Club's advocacy work. We are proud to have his support.

Thanks Jack. To be clear, I am not a conservative. Am registered independent & politically moderate. Doesn’t mean I’m moderate about all issues. Humanitarian issues are extremely important to me & I don’t understand why they are not important to everyone.
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 15 июл. 2018 г.
That said, I do not actually see the checks (changed that policy today). A nominal annual amount goes out automatically to both parties to maintain dialogue. I have given vastly more to humanitarian causes.

If @elonmusk is truly a conservative, (even though there was almost an even split in donations to Dems/Reps) then I say we should have more progressive people like him representing Republicans. Moreso, his affiliation is none of my business.
