Any insight into connecting Starlink constellations between both planets?

Will be needed for sure. Bandwidth, no problem, latency is a challenge 🤣🤣

It’s quite literally absolutely game changing what you and the insanely hard working team @SpaceX have managed to do in such a short period of time. I’m constantly floored by your progress. Thanks for shoving humanity into the 21st century!!!

Thanks. Starship, which aspires to be fully & immediately reusable in super heavy class, is a truly 🥜🚀. Even though I’m immersed in Starship/Raptor design & build 7 days/week, it still doesn’t feel real.

What about what you said about 1,000,000 tons of cargo to Mars for a self-sustaining city... real estimate, back-of-envelope calc or figure of speech?
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 9 авг. 2019 г.
Approx min payload to Mars to nearest order of magnitude, so at $100k/ton, cost would be $100B

When the grid goes down, stored energy in Powerwall means you can:
• keep the lights on
• do your laundry
• play videogames instead of taking this rare opportunity to connect with your loved ones.

Powerwall doesn’t need solar panels, but will work fine with both Tesla & non-Tesla solar panels

My question is, what’s your current estimate on the total cost of having a self-sustaining civilization on Mars?
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 9 авг. 2019 г.
Between $100B and $10T

I can’t wait to see a booster come into port with two boats carrying two fairings someday. Oh man, wait until there’s a Falcon Heavy where everything but the upper stage is recovered and reused 🤯 that’ll be incredible!

Amazing work over many years by SpaceX engineering/production/launch teams to get (almost) there

Might take a bit longer to get through regulatory approvals. Likely September.

Probably every 2 to 4 months, depending on how much progress we make

Awesome. Is it still planned that early FSD buyers like myself will be in the early acess list? Because it hasn't been the case at all...
