It’s not that these things can’t be done, they just absorb a lot of software engineering time, which has great opportunity cost. There are very few excellent software engineers & merely increasing team size results in awful bloatware.

Turn on auto navigate feature & car will activate traffic-based navigation to work, home or calendar, depending on context, as soon as you sit down. No input required at all.

What about low res, even just one camera at a time?
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 26 дек. 2019 г.
Possible, but one step at a time. Anything we release to the fleet has big implications these days. For example, if someone’s on data roaming & video is enabled, they will get a giant cell phone bill. Operating in 40+ countries results in many corner cases!

Front camera view option would be great for pulling into tight spaces.
Also exclude home option for auto-locking in my garage.

Seeing B pillar (diagonal fwd) & side repeater (diagonal back) camera views would probably help for tight situations. We can enable access to these views. Also, no problem to have option to disable auto lock for home.

@elonmusk Elon, please add more super chargers in Southern California to alleviate overcrowding!

We’re building out Superchargers as fast as possible! Need to ramp V3 Supercharger production.

Can we get the ability to get phone notifications when sentry mode goes off? Bonus points if we can check out the footage like you can with a near came. Or be able to see a live feed of the cameras at any time on our phones too?
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 26 дек. 2019 г.
Phone notification with ability to view possibly relevant still images is no problem. Live video from several cameras is too much bandwidth.

The main reason for this request is to be able to avoid entering multiple destination rounds on road trips (for me). If I don’t want to take a straight trip but end up there, multiple waypoints allow us to just set all destinations and let the onboard nav plot the route with SCs.
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 26 дек. 2019 г.
If you enter a longer distance than range, system should autonav to optimal Superchargers along the way. Is it not doing this correctly?

Car should autonavigate to destinations based on your calendar. If nothing in calendar, should do work in morning & home in evening. Future versions will guess based on prior patterns (if preference enabled).

@elonmusk hey king, a few days ago my model x started really acting up - key fobs not working half the time, my mirrors flipping in and out whilst driving, emergency break & flashers going on randomly too. I scheduled an appointment but it's not for 2 weeks 😫 any suggestions?
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 26 дек. 2019 г.
That is odd. Try pressing both scroll wheel buttons to reboot. Have forwarded this to service.

@elonmusk can @tesla add @disneyplus to the #Tesla theatre in a future update? A lot of users would love to have this feature. @BenSullins
