Hey @elonmusk please please make the service department @tesla change their hold music. I’ll personally curate a new playlist if need be. This has been the most excruciating 40 minutes of hold music I’ve ever heard. Painful. 🤯😂😭

Interesting to learn that #Tesla is aiming to build 2 terawatt hours in battery capacity, enough to satisfy 26 million in EV sales. As usual, @elonmusk is thinking exponentially. @ARKInvest is forecasting 26 million in global EV sales and 3 million in $TSLA EV sales in 2023.

Probably 1/4 to 1/2 of that capacity would be for stationary storage

@elonmusk I know it's literally just happened but is there any insight into what caused Starhopper's abort?

No more bleeding out methane and transpirational cooling? Or maybe some of each? See where the physics takes you?

Thin tiles on windward side of ship & nothing on leeward or anywhere on booster looks like lightest option

So what's the ceramic for that was flown on Dragon today? Certain extra hot spots?
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 25 июл. 2019 г.
Testing a possible Starship windward side ceramic tile. Maximizing emissivity is best for conductive/particle heating. Nice thing about steel is that tiles can be very thin, unlike carbon fiber or aluminum airframe.

High reflectivity minimizes photonic heating, high emissivity minimizes particle heating. No need to radiate heat away if you aren’t hot in the first place. Also, as metal heats up to yellow/red/white, it stops being reflective.

The more I learn about black body radiation, the more I realize a reflective surface is exactly what you don't want.

When @SpaceX’s #Dragon 🐉 launches on the company’s 18th resupply mission to the @Space_Station, it will have the #Apollo50th logo near the side-hatch to commemorate the historic launch of Apollo 11.
Live coverage for launch begins at 6 p.m. ET: nasa.gov/live

That’s one way to shake things up 😬
Did you know that workers at @NASAKennedy used their own hands, feet and a little bit of sweat to shake a test version of the Saturn V? Note: don't skip leg day at the gym. #Apollo50th
