CBS ostensibly has 8.8M followers but gets about 24 RTs per post. I’d imagine some “Social Media Director” is attempting to make a virtue out of their appalling digital strategy.
Memo to the geriatric board: “No one was clicking our links anyway, Twitter is a ghost town!” Etc.

He should be restored with all of his previous followers intact. Please fix that. If you don’t have the data in the current database just pull it from a backup when his account was still live.

I've only used mastodon for a week. My account just got suspended for:
"Being a capitalist"
I am not sure what that means. But I guess I can fix it by sending some moneros to the server owner?
The Fediverse is not very welcoming.

CNN has this whole section devoted to how bad of a job @elonmusk has been doing with Twitter, yet not one article can be seen on their front page about FTX, Sam or Caroline. Cancel Main Stream Media.

Red Bull sells 10 billion cans a year.
But it’s not a beverage company. It’s a marketing firm, spending 35% of sales on marketing vs. Coca-Cola (9%) and Pepsi (7%).
I wrote more here (after drinking 3 sugar-free Red Bulls): trungphan.substack.com/p/the-genius-o…

fascinating to watch the same people argue elon's twitter is both 1) clownish and incapable to the point it could at any moment vanish forever,
and 2) so powerful and dangerous it could alter the way every person in this country thinks, and bring about actual fascism

Notes from last night:
- Maybe deprecate TLS this week, as only needed if Android app >1 year old.
- Home mixer computes Home ~10X faster than Timeline.
- Ad mixer can greatly improve relevance at cost of lower total ad views. More interesting the ad, more time you look at it.
