Our team makes around around 20 improvements per day to Grok @Bot
Mark Kretschmann@mark_k· 17 окт. 2026 г.Grok Bot has improved so much lately. It's really a joy to use now!
So fast and yet smart with understanding my intent.

Neuralink president DJ Seo says Elon’s aggressive schedules are rigorous first-principles engineering, and an all-green-light schedule shows 80 to 90% of delays are just assumed
“What I’ve learned is that it’s not really some arbitrary management tactics, but it’s really used as a rigorous engineering and first principle, you know. Again, this is more applicable in the world of atoms, but we have this concept called all green light schedule, which is kind of forcing us to think about if every single light is green, there’s no administrative burdens or delays or no shipping delays or risk or no legacy bottlenecks, how fast can you build it?”
“And when you think from that point of view and vantage point and literally strip away any man-made bottlenecks and you ask a question of how fast can you actually manufacture a chip, how fast can you design a robot and test it. It turns out like, I don’t know what the right number is, but at least 80-90% of it is things that you think are the way it is, just because you don’t really think about it from that perspective.”
Fireside Alpha@firesidealpha· 16 окт. 2026 г.Elon Musk says he sets the most aggressive deadline with a 50% probability of being achieved, knowing it will be late half the time, because a five-year schedule just expands to fill five years

Grok Bot feels like magic….you just tell it what you want, and it goes and does it
Like, it actually just does it....it's insane

X Freeze@XFreeze· 16 окт. 2026 г.Just built a Tesla Roadster game where you can fly and flip using rocket thrusters, just like the real Roadster did yesterday
Play it here:
Built it with Grok Bot and asked it to deploy the game using Grok Build mode

When I was writing Unreal Engine 1, my time was divided as follows:
- Around 30% went to seriously deep coding on hard problems: assembly language texture mappers, C++ BSP trees, data persistence, object oriented systems design, and networking.
- Around 70% was just typing and refactoring large bodies of code needed for a complete engine feature set. This was not hard, and while I was doing it my mind was mostly on the deeper coding topics, thinking and planning for what's next. It didn't feel much different from vibe coding today, except that it was just me typing code on an IBM Model M keyboard rather than prompting it and reviewing the results.
So, it has always seemed perfectly logical that we would rely on AI for that 70%, once the AI could do it with a similar quality standard as we could, which has never been perfection. It came as no surprise that, after a few years of AI model evolution, it was able to take the reigns on that 70% and free up programmers' time for more valuable tasks.
What's more of a surprise is the emergence of AI as a sort of insta-Carmack able to solve hard technical problems quite cleverly and often cleanly, and that it's able to reason about and work in complex 3D scenes both by operating the tools and by directly understanding the raw data files.
I abandoned assembly language in 1998 when out-of-order CPUs made much simpler C/C++ code faster, and never I missed it. If prompting through architectural documents, concept art, and design plans can transcend typing code and tweaking vertices, that will enable developers to spend their time on higher-level, higher value technical and creative tasks.
What matters is the end product, whether it's a game or an engine. Anything developers can do to try out more ideas and make better software and games faster is a win for everyone.

This works well. Screenshot of credit card is the easiest way, unless you want to fill out the secure vault data.
Seems a bit silly to hand your credit card to people you don’t know at a restaurant, but not to Grok Bot.
Teslaconomics@Teslaconomics· 17 окт. 2026 г.My son loves basketball, and I want him to be able to practice at home… honestly we live in a small home, though, and I don’t want the constant sound of a bouncing ball disturbing our neighbors.

I've seen praise for Grok Bot, and someone I respect loves it, so in my evaluation of personal agents I'm trying it out. First thing I noticed: How the hell do I turn off training on my data? I don't see this setting anywhere. My initial bot doesn't know, either.

Unless you’re doing something super unique, your data is not actually useful for training, but we do need some way to debug issues and make the product better. We don’t have ESP!

How do I stay optimistic while reading 100+ stories a week (Including the negative ones)? For me, optimism is a conclusion that I can keep re-deriving from evidence. Perhaps once the data proves me wrong, I'll change; however, forty years in, I've never been this excited about the future.

I placed an ordered a dress for a black tie event via @bot.
It was never delivered (thanks @DHLGlobal).
Bot submitted a refund request to the company, including contacting the DHL.
Bot tracked the delivery, followed up with the merchant and just now notified me that the refund appeared back on my credit card.
It’s automating the worst part the shopping experience: refunds & returns.
