The beauty of this is each account that gets verified paid $8. Twitter keeps the money and suspends the account.
It’s genius and I hope more folks do this. It’s free money for Twitter.

Super confused with this Twitter Blue stuff. Thought I needed to subscribe to Twitter Blue to keep my verification. I do that, and now it says I’m verified solely because I’m subscribed. If I unsubscribe, will I retain my previous verification, @elonmusk?

Subscription Blue is better than legacy Blue. I switched over.

Elon, one suggestion, Twitter DMs are cool, but it lacks some features. Make Twitter DMs archivable, add search functionality to Twitter DMs, enable replies to specific messages, etc?

Surprise– the world’s most innovative companies are investing more on Twitter than ever!
@tryramp customers–which includes a cross-section of the US’s fastest growing startups–increased spend at @twitter by 18% in the 7 days post-acquisition (10/27)! Google grew 3.4%, FB fell 8%

It is becoming axiomatic that any new medium or heavy lift rocket that is proposed without some element of reuse is doomed to fail.

Marques Brownlee@MKBHD· 9 нояб. 2022 г.So now there’s two verified checks. One that shows next to your profile in replies, in retweets, and everywhere else: It means you’re a Twitter Blue subscriber.
The other one (“Official”) only shows up on certain profiles and on tlmeline……

This is super messed up. Unfortunately, many such things occurred at Twitter. Even worse was done in later years.
Meaningful growth happens when utility & entertainment value improve. That will be our focus going forward.
No more fake numbers & pseudo growth.
