Wasn't Merlin 1A ablatively cooled? I believe Tom Mueller's got one hanging out in his house 😂 The Merlin of 15 years ago is NOTHING like the Merlin today. You guys pulled every single drop of power out of that thing! 🙌

Yeah, that was a bit embarrassing ☺️High engine chamber pressure and ablative don’t get along. Ok for low pressure, expendable upper stage.
