This is the 2019 parliamentary election. Green is Zelenskyy's party. Dark blue is the pro-Russia, but not separatist opposition. Zelenskyy ran on a pro-Europe platform. Notice how Kherson and Zaporizhzhia voted for Zelenskyy's party?

Kherson and Zaporizhzhia almost certainly do not want to join Russia – annexation of those regions was done to ensure a land bridge and water supply to Crimea
