Twitter 1.0 refused my request to verify me, despite the fact that I had many impersonators trying to scam followers, because it found me not to be notable. It also blacklisted me, likely at the behest of government censors. Twitter 2.0 is more transparent and better.

You were a significant enough to be blacklisted, but allegedly not enough to be verified. They lied. In reality, it was just partisan censorship / propaganda.
