Could one some day use a Starlink-like swarm of satellites with precision positioning and timing to make a planetary-scale phased array for high-bandwidth interplanetary comms?

The difficulty of communicating with Mars varies tremendously, with the worst case being when it is on the opposite side of the Sun from Earth.
For terabit-level bandwidth, the best option is probably a series of laser communication satellites at varying distances from the Sun to minimize path length for any given Earth-Mars position.
