1. When was the last time an American journalist interviewed Putin? I can’t remember.
2. Also, do we know if the state department/various administrations have tried to stop the media from interviewing Putin historically?

Regarding point 2, what’s weird is how slavishly compliant western media is to government even *without* coercion!
