I have a bar of titanium and a bar of silver in the refrigerator to give Trista a visceral demonstration of how thermal conductivity changes the perception of temperature.

Cool idea to have samples of elemental materials.
Titanium is a surprisingly poor thermal conductor and silver is the best.
Carbon in diamond form beats everything by far. Even just mashing diamond dust into copper gives a big boost to its thermal conductivity!
