This is funny, because 1. America is the most prosperous country in the world, 2. It is absolutely because of immigration.

Your second point is a logical fallacy. If people crossing borders was all it took to make countries super prosperous, then we have indeed found an infinite prosperity bug in the simulation!
America has attracted more talented, hardworking immigrants than any country ever, because it has been, more so than anywhere else, a meritocracy with great personal freedom. That is what led to the prosperity.
While we have of course benefited from great immigrants from all countries, it is worth making special mention of the incredibly talented Jewish immigration to America when they were forced out of Europe and Russia.
Any immigrant that increases the average talent, work ethic and integrity of America will increase its prosperity, just like people joining a company or a sports team.
