He should not be in solitary confinement for months on end. Nobody else would be for the crime he committed.

I agree that there need to be consequences for contempt of court, but extremely periods of solitary confinement, which is normally reserved for serial killers who are a mortal danger to other inmates, are an absurdly disproportionate punishment!
