We're rolling out a small tweak to boost visibility of your posts to your mutuals (people who you follow back).
We noticed this data was missing from the algo and it made your friends appear less in your replies. This resulted in the reply section feeling more like a battleground with people you don't recognize.
This should also help clusters form around interests more easily, which many people have asked for.

X Freeze@XFreeze· 13. Juli 2026A reminder: Across much of the AI industry, user data is retained by default unless you manually change the privacy settings and even then, opt-outs often apply only to future data, may be limited by exceptions buried in the legal fine print, and can be difficult to verify in

That's not the case. The CLI doesn't retain data under ZDR (including headless/non-headless modes), and has since launch. Similarly, /privacy in the CLI will disable or reenable any data retention. For some features, including remote session listing, cloud agents, and handoff, you will need to enable data syncing.

Progress
X Freeze@XFreeze· 13. Juli 2026Grok Build is growing insanely fast, reaching 1.16 million monthly visits within just weeks after its early-beta launch
Traffic jumped from around 460,000 visits in May to 1.16 million in June
That’s growth of more than 150% in just one month
Grok Build with Grok 4.5 ranked #1

True.
As a precautionary measure, all user data that was uploaded to SpaceXAI before now will be completely and utterly deleted. Zero anything whatsoever will remain.
Andrew Milich@milichab· 13. Juli 2026I worked on building an end-to-end encrypted email/docs/files/calendar app @skiffprivacy for 4 years and care deeply about privacy.
ZDR and /privacy are always respected in Grok Build - and swapping your setting with /privacy deletes any synced data retoractively

@RomanGuy20 @Teslaconomics @SpaceXAI Their zero data retention policy fine print says they still retain data? Am I reading this right?

SpaceX policy regarding data retention.
It is actually helpful for debugging issues if we can retain some amount of data, so allowing this would be appreciated, but your privacy settings are always respected.
SpaceXAI@SpaceXAI· 13. Juli 2026We care deeply about your privacy and respect customer choice. For teams using zero data retention, no trace and code data is ever retained. All API key use of Grok Build also respects ZDR.
If ZDR is disabled, the /privacy command is available in the CLI to disable data

Using Grok agents in background mode
Andrew Milich@milichab· 12. Juli 2026@arthurkatcher 1) Yes! Use `.grok/agents` or config.toml (see below), adding to the docs site right now.
2) Yes: Agents can spawn background subagents, or try /dashboard, to move your agent to the background and create another. I've been using /dashboard as my default.

Grok 4.5 even ranks slightly above Fable, which is an incredibly good model, on some software benchmarks!

The publicly available version of Mythos (Fable with Claude as fallback) is significantly nerfed, but still that’s all most people have access to

I take it all back. We just got access to eval Grok 4.5 and it has landed above GPT-5.6-Sol and just shy of Opus for browser use.
Because cache input is expensive, the overall cost is only 10% cheaper than opus. Its overall a bit faster.
We have another opus-class model in the
Alexander Yue@Alezander907· 12. Juli 2026Some new model release and my eval scores:
gpt-5.6-sol is a small improvement on browser tasks, but seems to consume many more tokens
Muse spark 1.1 outperforms gemini 3.5 flash at a cheaper price, but is not overall very good
Claude sonnet 5 is 5th best performance at higher

Necessarily so, as power harnessed would be more than a trillion times what human civilization uses today.
The economy will be measured in energy and mass at that point, not dollars.

I say both energy and mass, as they are separate scarcities for practical purposes, despite being technically “equivalent”, as described by Einstein’s famous equation.
Our solar system has only a tiny percentage of non-solar atoms with which to build things.

I would like to offer a counterargument that LLMs (or maybe AIs) cannot jump.
Before AlphaGo, the AI field had the same argument for Go: there are 2.08 × 10^170 possibilities, nothing fits in the computer, and there is no way AI could possibly predict the outcome of the next
Han Xiao ✈️ ICML 2026@hxiao· 9. Juli 2026interesting position paper throwing cold water on autoresearch/ai scientist: LLMs can't jump.
The thought experiment is this: Take an LLM with a 1905 knowledge cutoff. Feed it every paper, every dataset, every equation of that era. Could it invent general relativity?
No.

Transgenderism is an uncontrolled society-scaled experiment in conformity and obedience: a test of how far you can make people parrot absurdities, inflict cruelties, collude with unrealities, and ostracize and punish people for things they do not themselves believe.
