It maybe possible that the passage of time is purely a reflection of increasing entropy. At least time will stop in a googol or so years instead of an eternity of cold emptiness with the occasional virtual particle. It's almost reassuring.

Well, definitely Raptor Vac is capable of operating at sea level. That's the part that's really complicating its design, pushing achievable chamber pressure high enough to avoid flow separation and strengthening the nozzle.

There are some practical size constraints too. Can’t be too big to fit in the engine compartment. But, it could be a little bigger. 380 sec Isp would be nice.

Did if suffer from any shockwave instability/vibrations?

Elon Musk

Doesn’t seem to be a problem. We could probably increase area ratio, given 330 bar max demonstrated chamber pressure.

Interesting to see it has a burst of flame before it emits a burst of cryogens and only then ignites properly.

It survived?!?! IT SURVIVED!!! And they even fired it at sea level without vacuum conditions (a giant tube)!!! @elonmusk how did it hold up at sea level without flow separation?! It looks like it has a big expansion ratio! 🤯

107 expansion ratio. You can a little bit of flow separation towards the end of the nozzle.

This does seem like the opposite of open. OpenAI is essentially captured by Microsoft.

dam went on @YahooFinance to talk $TSLA and it was a joke. pretty lame that they do such little research & constantly take an attacking/negative tone against Tesla
like you invite me to your show to talk about my favorite company in the world and just shit on it #whack
